The Grand Calaisis Residual Waste Recovery Hub – SEVADEC
Twenty years ago, the local authorities of Grand Calaisis created a pioneering waste management entity: the Calaisis Waste Disposal and Recovery Syndicate. Building on this experience, SEVADEC has decided to expand its expertise by investing in new facilities. The goal: to recover over 80% of the region’s waste and, using the biomethane generated from processing, provide the area’s 160,000 residents with clean, local, and affordable energy.
The new administrative headquarters serves as a strong visual landmark, marking the site’s new entrance—made particularly distinctive by its larch wood cladding, where varying slat depths create a dynamic visual rhythm.
